Second Chance Animal Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization raising money for animals that have been abused, abandoned, injured, or sick, that need medical care, but the medical expense can’t be paid. They are in a life-or-death situation and need funding but the veterinary costs are not able to be met. Some families and rescues who cannot afford these treatments have to decide to euthanize an animal that can successfully recover if treatment is an option. Spaying and neutering the pet is also essential to stop the growth population of unwanted dogs and cats.  A % of the donations will go towards this as well.  Rescues struggle with having the funds to dedicate to these specific animals and need help. Families may be in a financial situation that does not give them a chance to save their pet.

SCAF will raise money from individual donors, businesses, and fundraisers, with 100% of the donations going to fund animals in need of medical care as well as spays and neuters. The funding will go directly to the veterinary hospital that is caring for the animal in need.  They must have a medical diagnosis for recovery and proof of the veterinary treatment plan. Payment will go directly to the veterinary hospital to pay for that specific animal. Funding may be in whole or part, depending on the animal’s situation.

“There may be days when I can’t help an animal in need, but the day will never come that I won’t try.”

– Paul Oxton
